Our History
You want to create a beautiful outdoor space, but finding a reliable landscaping partner can be difficult. You want someone who can help you create the outdoor space of your dreams and stand behind their work.
Our company has roots dating back to 1974 when our founders, Jay and Gwen Irving, started maintaining and installing landscapes in Dallas, Texas. Jay learned the art and technique of tree transplanting and would dig trees by hand to install at high rise office buildings and in Highland Park. In 1980, they moved back to Beaumont, Texas, and opened a tractor dealership with their family. Landscaping was something they always found their way back to because of their passion for the industry.
In 1993, Jay and Gwen committed to Jay’s Landscape, and from there, they built a solid foundation with their family and team. They have acquired years of education and experience leading and helping their team to continually grow and improve.
From this foundation, we strive to bring the best solutions to our customers’ landscapes and stand behind them. You can trust us to help you create the outdoor space of your dreams.

Brad Irving began his career working alongside his parents, learning the value of hard work and craftsmanship at an early age. That foundation grew into more than 30 years of experience in landscape design, construction, and property development across Beaumont, Southeast Texas, and Southwest Louisiana.
Brad is driven by a passion for design and problem solving. He believes strong landscapes start with a clear plan that considers function, drainage, and how each space will be used. His design approach helps clients avoid costly mistakes and create outdoor environments that feel intentional and perform well over time.
Today, Brad leads Jays Landscape with a focus on quality, consistency, and process. Through the Create, Develop, Sustain approach, he guides a team committed to building landscapes clients can rely on for years to come.

When you reach out, you’ll hear back within 24 business hours. We listen to what you’re looking for and schedule your Vision Call. From the very beginning, you’ll see that we take the time to respond quickly and make things easy.
You’ll connect with a sales professional who takes the time to understand your goals, how you want to use your property, and your budget range. If your project isn’t the right fit, we’ll connect you with resources. If it is, we’ll move forward with a detailed site consultation.
We walk your property with you to see the space through your eyes. Your sales professional asks questions, listens carefully, and takes notes and photos to capture your vision. From there, you’ll receive the cost of your design investment based on the scope of your project.
Once your design investment is confirmed, your dedicated designer visits your property to measure, verify details, and prepare for your upcoming design review. This step solidifies the partnership, ensuring that every detail is intentional and nothing gets overlooked.
Your design comes to life in two stages. First, a 2D plan with inspiration photos and material options sets the foundation. Then, a refined 3D version lets you experience your future space as if you were standing in it. Two revisions are included, so the design feels right for both your lifestyle now and your needs in the future.
After revisions, you receive your full proposal, complete with smart phasing options if needed. Once you approve, you’ll receive your agreement and design package. A deposit secures your spot on the schedule, typically one to three months out, giving you peace of mind that your project is moving forward.
We begin the behind-the-scenes work: ordering materials, scheduling crews, and preparing the site plan. You’ll meet with both your sales professional and project manager for a kickoff meeting, so you know exactly who is guiding your project and what to expect.
Construction begins, and your project manager updates you at least once a week. You’ll know what has been completed, what’s happening next, and how the schedule is progressing. Payments are tied to milestones, so you’re always clear on where things stand.
When your project is complete, your project manager and sales professional walk the property with you to confirm every detail. You’ll see the finished results, share any final feedback, and receive your warranties. This is where your vision becomes reality.
Your relationship doesn’t end when the build is done. You have the option of continuing with our exclusive maintenance program, available only to design-build clients. This includes a complimentary fertilization service, quarterly property reviews, and an extended three-year plant warranty with qualified maintenance. It’s how we protect your investment and keep your space looking its best year after year.
